Funky Chicks Slots

Funky Chicks Slots
This is a simple game made for simple people that enjoy a simple time and simple ways of winning money. It has a Sunday morning cartoon appeal slapped on top of that, and the end result looks like a developers first attempt at making a game. He will find the usual things that you have come to like from wager gaming technology, but in a package that is far more low-key that you would likely be used to around here. It’s by no means bad, but is relatively rudimentary, it has little to impress.

Our favorite thing about the game is clearly the theme, which comes together as a somewhat Looney Tunes take on the rural south. If this is an something that you have an interest in, it is fair to say that you probably will have little interest in this game. That is the main draw of the slot, although there are some fun bonuses like free spins, and a relatively high maximum betting amount. It’s a game entirely focused on the graphics, however, making everything else and afterthought, and something that you can probably find elsewhere, done just as well, if not better.

If you are looking for something that has a lot of staying power, you probably won’t find that here. You will find a game with a lot of heart, however, and enough things going for it to keep you going after the first spin. We cannot promise many more will come after that initial spin, but we can’t promise that you’ll at least not regret having made it!

What You Can Expect

For starters, do not go in expecting big bunch of visuals or anything to impressive. It’s all very low-key, low budget, and somewhat under cooked, if you will excuse our pun! About eggs you see. What you can find here is a game that has very solid mechanics behind it, a very high amounts that you can put down for you to spin, and enough nice facial expressions on the cartoon characters to keep some people interested.

The betting itself goes all the way up to $250 a spin, and is accompanied by a free spins bonus feature, as well as the standard number of lines to bet on and reels. You won’t see anything to different on the gameplay front, but it does get what classic slots do done well in a very nice way.

You can at least expect the pacing of it all to be fairly fast, and the winnings coming just as often as you can press the button! The pacing is one thing that they definitely got right here, in a way that some games and neglect. The upside of it being so simple is that you really can simply hit the spin button time and again, and have money flow to you. Other games force you to do complicated things to bet, but you will not find any of that to get in your way here, only winning and spinning!

What They Could Have Improved

In our humble opinion, pretty much everything. The visuals are a long way from being refined, although the character designs and concepts are all very good. The color scheme in general is very lacking, being way too bright and saturated on top of strange wood colors of the barn. It looks somewhat like a kid’s game, very young kids mind you, and that’s probably not the audience that will hopefully be playing a game like this in betting money on the Internet!

Another thing that they probably could have done a lot better with this adding some more interesting mechanics to the gameplay. There aren’t any jackpots or anything to write home about there, all of it being somewhat stale the longer you play it. We are not complaining, as we still have a good time, but anything would have gone along way towards making a little more fun.

We also think that the background could have been almost anything else and look better. It doesn’t have the same look or feel that everything else does, being somewhat of a slapped on model from a stock 3-D computer program. This is very different from the hand-drawn illustrations, which are all vibrant and filled with life. The contrast is jarring, much like the game itself!

General Style and Presentation

This game looks like it was drawn by a first time artist, or someone that isn’t quite familiar with how to cover things digitally. We say that because the lines on all of the characters look quite good, but everything else looks somewhat strange. It looks like the colors were taken from a preset color palette that was not suited for this, and in general, it looks somewhat childish. Not in a good way, either!

It has a somewhat bland look to it as well. Aside from the facial expressions on the cartoon critters, there isn’t really a whole lot here at that put a lot of time or effort into looking great. It’s very clear that it was slap together somewhat hastily, and they didn’t put a whole lot into the budget.

Summing Up the Game

Funky Chicks Slots is at least the best game about cartoon chickens we have ever seen, which is a backhanded compliment to be sure! This is a game that really doesn’t do anything to different or new, and what it does do, doesn’t really impress us. It is serviceable at best and most ways, largely thriving on the fact that it has money to give you the longer you play it. If you’re looking for something innovative or pretty, this game is not that. If you’re looking for a fast way to win some money, however, you’ve made it all the way here, and you can probably do a lot worse!
