Part of the wild X series of slot machine games, this is another one by wager gaming that keeps things simple, and through that, a certain kind of fun. We’re not usually fans of games that are themed around holidays, and Thanksgiving of all of them seems like a poor choice. Despite that, and us not being a big fan of turkeys, we actually fell in love with this game!

If you are looking for more than a classic game, or happen to hate turkeys, you probably won’t have your mind changed here. For everyone else, however, if you are open minded enough to give it a try, and have enough money in your pocket to put down, you will be unlikely to regret what turns out from it, and can enjoy a very high payout rate. If it’s the time of year, you may also be able to win back all the money you spent on Thanksgiving dinner, and start saving up for Christmas, which is just around the corner! What You Can Expect
This is a very simple game when it comes to the combination of the theme and the gameplay. They’re quite simply took the classics that formula, slapped a Thanksgiving theme on top of it, put in a bonus round, and called it a day. This really does some of the game quite well, but there are some more intricate elements to it if you take the time to give it a chance.
For starters, the way multipliers work seems to happen quite often, and keep things fairly interesting. There’s also the fact that you can match things on a variety of locations as the real spin bike, which gives you something more to win than you otherwise would get on some other games in the classic genre. There is also the bonus round, which can have you win up to 500 coins at once, which go quite a long way to saving up for your retirement!
Everything is also very accessible by virtue of how simple it is as well. Even if you’ve never played a game like this before, you can immediately jump in here and know exactly what to do. You will never be left guessing you’re wondering what’s going on, and it all plays very rapidly, just like a classic slot machine game should!
What They Could Have Improved
We definitely like the very simple approach that they took of this classic game, even though we are not a fan of holiday themes. Despite that, however, they clearly could have other than a few things that would have kept it a little more interesting in our book. One of them is of course the addition of a nice jackpot, which is not present here. We don’t always fault games for not having them if they have a lot else going on, but that is not the case here. This game mostly has free spins and multipliers going for it, which can get old after a while because there’s nothing looming over you.
Of course, we also wish they would have change the theme. We’re not a big fan of Thanksgiving themed things anyway, and this one’s turkey looks a little bit strange. Maybe if it had made more of a presence on the reals as they spin by, we would change our minds. That is not the case here, however, so we maintain our judgment there!
General Style and Presentation
This is a game that looks entirely classic, except for the imagery that you will see a top of the machine. It even looks like a classic slot machine, zoomed into the role of an elements, playing much like a digital one that you might see in Vegas itself. At least in the old days.
Illustrations are all very well done, and the images that you will see are also equally as crisp and clean. Nothing about the game looks bad, we will give them that! The banner across the top is also particularly well done. Aside from that, however, it is fairly standard, not really standing out from other games that are classic in nature, or many other games in general. It’s just the sort of game that looks like many others, and you can be forgiven for forgetting what it looks like after you’re done.
If they would have made some of the imagery have more to do with Thanksgiving, this may not have been the case. It could have been a lot more memorable if they would have work the holiday in itself. Because this is part of the Wild X series, however, we can understand why they did not!
Summing Up the Game
Turkey Shoot Wild X Slots is easily one of the best in the series, and we say that as people that are not a fan of the theme that they decided to go with on this one. If you want something that is easy to play, easy to win from, and will be worth your time, you definitely found it. Just do not go in expecting something that is going to impress you with innovation, however, or anything remotely of that nature!
