Goblin's Gold Wild X Slots

Goblin's Gold Wild X Slots

The Wild X series has another hit in the mix, this time featuring strange reason creatures and piles of treasure! Using the same stylistic trappings that the rest of the series has become known for, this game is a nice entry for old comers and new comers alike. You'll find most of what you have liked about the rest of the series here, alongside some good winnings and some questionable jackpots. We also think the artwork is a little strange, but that may just be us!

This is definitely one of the lowest budget games in the series. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as it does force them to be a little more innovative to get your attention, but it's also not a good thing either. This is a game that treasures along based on the success of the other ones bearing the same name, and does little to keep you interested aside from the usual fare.

If you are interested in a classic slot machine game on the Internet that pays very well and plays very quickly, it does well in that regard. If you're looking for something that has a little more freshness to it, has a high production value, or seems to be genuinely creative, however, you will probably be disappointed with what you find here. It is definitely not a bad game by any means, but it is not one that's going to have a whole lot to keep you sitting in your seat after the first several spins. It does pay well, however, much like the rest of the ones in the franchise, so we recommend it for that reason! You'll be putting up with it rather than enjoying it, however.

What You Can Expect

If you have ever played any of the other games of the wild X series, you have seen many of the things that you are going to find here. The use of jackpots, the limited play style, and the classic appeal all are very familiar to anyone else that's a fan of the series. The multipliers are also very similar, being on the low-end. This is largely because in a game like this, you are mostly playing for longer periods of time, rather than making fewer large bets. The production values here also very limited, going well with the gameplay mechanics.

For a game that is somewhat outlandish and the choice of theme, seeing as how goblins are not necessarily things that people enjoy, you will be surprised to find that this is a fairly run-of-the-mill classic slot machine game with a higher payout. The production values just aren't here to make it anything else, and the gameplay mechanics are limited enough that there's not much for them to work with.

What They Could Have Improved

This is a game that leaves much to be desired, and has a large amount of things that they easily could have made a lot better. The art style, for one, is a big offender to us. We do not necessarily mind the fact that they chose a theme that is somewhat offputting, but the low budget of the way it comes together is something that they could have easily corrected. Everything is fairly low res and doesn't have a whole lot of creativity, and very little of it is visually appealing.

They also seem to have gone out of their way to make things simple, which depending on your taste, may be a bad thing. There are no bonus rounds are interesting things happening here, just hitting the spin button time and again. This is good for players that are into fast paced game play, but it's not going to be all that great for someone that wants something more along the lines of an actual game. Considering most slots on the Internet now are of the kind that you play them almost like a video game, this is going to come as somewhat of a letdown for many players. If you are sick of all that, however, I would like to focus on the winning, this game would be a good fit!

General Style and Presentation

There is no way around it, this is not a very pretty game! The theme it's self is not one that lands itself to being pretty, and on top of that, as we have said before, the production values are very low. They didn't put a whole lot of effort into this one, riding all the success of the other Wild X series of games. And while this one is and OK effort, it is not the prettiest of them.

You will see a lot of green, and a lot of beige, which is an odd combination to us. Everything is centered around being in a cave and treasures, and it all looks appropriately dirty. The downside to this, of course, is that being dirty isn't something that is desirable to look at, particularly if you were looking to be entertained. We would have loved it if they have made things a little kinder and more favored, or included a broader variety of colors. As it stands, however, it is fitting, albeit unattractive.

Summing Up the Game

Goblin's Gold Wild X Slots is not the best of the Wild X series, but it is a competent entry for those that have become addicted to it. If you can manage to get past the way the game looks, you are in for a high-paying game that will remind you of the better entries of the series. It plays very quickly, it pays just as fast, and there's a reason that it is featured. For that reason alone, you owe it to yourself to get into the dungeon on this one. Somewhere down there there is gold, and it is yours for the taking!
